Been focusing on security at work,
not like we’re fighting off NSA threats,
just your basic padlock on a locker,
deadbolt on a door kind of code.
and I can’t,
can’t quite see where all this will go,
and unlike literally anything else in life
I can plan around that.
make the clever choices where:
I may not know what you’re going to say,
but I know you pretty much have to say it here
and I know what you need before you can say it.
and the rest just seems to unravel,
until the rest of the ravelets strip me bare.
eventually they’ll best us again,
we’ll get caught off-guard,
fly overboard,
until we fill up our card,
and go dancing again.
and I can’t quite see where all this should go.
