you’re tired totin’ that poetry text,
‘n there’ this whole bloated section on Carpe Diem,
‘n you’re feelin’ bad ‘n sad,
‘n things just ain’t goin’ your way.
what’s wrong with a little selfish, anyway?
you’re sparkin’ at your finger-tips,
your electrons push-pullin’,
beggin’, beggin’ for that discharge,
but it ain’t, ain’t, right,
what’s wrong with a little selfish, anyway?
lead-logged lids ‘n responsibilities are fine ‘n dandy,
but it ain’t life without a little candy,
‘n you’ve got those sugar-soaked desires runnin’,
put it aside, put it aside,
nothin’ wrong with a little selfish,
nothin’, nothin’ wrong with a little indulgence,
I’m gonna eat that pizza.
